About Us

Troop 618 is located in Columbia and Clarksville, Maryland and is in the National Pike District, which in turn is part of Baltimore Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

The troop is sponsored by the River Hill Community Association.

Philosophy -  We’re a “Boy Run” troop, employing the qualities and ideals found in the BSA program to build character, foster citizenship, develop leadership, commitment to community, and appreciation for the outdoors.

Troop 618 offers a full range of scouting activities from weekly Troop Meetings to monthly weekend outings, plus a full week of Summer Camp. Outdoor activities embrace the complete scouting experience, rich in adventure and learning: Pioneering, Canoeing, White Water Rafting, Skiing, Backpacking, Base Camping and Biking to name just a few.
